The U12 SurDel Force are the 2008/09 South District Medallion Champions. A great run thru the playoffs saw them edge out Surrey F.C. by a 1-0 score at Elsom Park. The SurDel Force players are: Alexa, Ashtyn, Brittany, Faith, Jayme, Jenna, Kelsy, Keshia, Lia, Megan, Rachel, Summer and Taryn. Head coach Rick Carreiro and assistants Frank Dotto and Kevan Cornes. The girls had a great season finishing first in the Tier 2 play and rounding out the season in style. Way to go Force!!!

All South District games this weekend (Jan. 10/11) are being cancelled and removed from the schedule. Available fields will be used for any necessary make-up games. This applies to U10 to U12 at all levels of play as well as U13 to U16 bronze teams.

The U13 Gold Semiahmoo Thunder girl’s soccer team travelled to Prince George for the BC Provincial Championships. The Thunder has had a great deal of success over the past several seasons, having won the 2007 BC Provincial Championships for U12 and the 2007 Inter-District (5District League) Cup. Clearly, we were the team to beat and we were acknowledged in the Prince George newspapers as such.

SurDel Sting win Provincials in U16 Metro. This is the teams 3rd Provincial title in the past 4 season's. Well done ladies! See the SurDel site for more information.

The Whalley U17 Silver A Hurricans are winners of Inter District Cup, winners of our League U17 Silver A3 and finalist losing in OT in the Coastal Classic Cup all in the u17 Silver A Division. Special thanks to coach Avtar Hothi.

U14 silver B SBAA Tornados win South District coastal cup. The Tornados won in double overtime 4 to 3 over the Ladner Stingers.

Mayor Lois E. Jackson and Delta Council along with the North Delta Softball Association, SurDel Girls Soccer, North Delta Youth Soccer and Delta Footmen Field Lacrosse are delighted to invite you to this event. See the attachment for the program of events.

The Surdel U-15 Silver B Pythons won their semi final game on Sat March 8, 5-0 over SEM Bechams Angels. With the semi's behind them they played the SBA Scorpions in the “Presidents Medallion” final on March 9 at Winskill park, Tsawwassen. It was a well played match by both teams and after 80 minutes it was still tied 0-0. In the first overtime period the Pythons scored 2 goals. The Pythons held the lead and won the game, and Presidents Cup.
