Congratulations to the U13 Gold SFC Rangers on their 1st place finish at the Peach City Classic in Penticton Aug. 16-17, 2008. The Rangers went undefeated during round robin play in close to 40 degree weather, beating Kelowna, SOYA Pinnacles and Quesnel. The final game pitted the Rangers against a very strong team from Red Deer, Alberta. This team was very skilled and did not let the Rangers move the ball around like they had been able to in previous games. It was a fantastic game with both teams having many scoring chances - the final outcome was 2-1 for the Rangers. Over the weekend the Rangers scored 23 goals and gave up only 2. Congratulations Rangers - what a great way to start the season!
